The Combat Systems business area of Overwatch provides innovative, mission critical Situational Awareness and Situational Understanding software applications to warfighters and homeland security professionals. As a leading partner in the Army's Brigade Combat Team Modernization program, Overwatch has provided software that assists the Commander and staff to determine what an enemy is doing and what they may do in the future, and to estimate the threat they pose to friendly forces. Overwatch is also providing Situational Awareness and Situational Understanding to users at the edge through mobile devices and vehicle-integrated systems. These tools are adapted for users in Homeland Security and Law Enforcement operations through our IM-PACT product.
Overwatch is a leading partner on the Army’s future principal modernization program. In this system of systems, Overwatch was selected to design and build the situational understanding component, leading efforts for data fusion across the battlefield. State-of-the-art algorithms and fusion techniques provide the Commander and staff with decision aids including the Common Operational Picture, predictive estimates of enemy actions and tools such as pattern detection, designed to counter asymmetric threats. Overwatch is on the leading edge of Army Future Transformation efforts.
In the current theater operations, Overwatch can provide these same information fusion approaches to other existing or interim command and control systems. Using an open systems approach and strong knowledge of both Commercial Off-the-Shelf and Government Off-the-Shelf technology, the Combat Systems team is ready to provide value-driven, cutting edge solutions for any Command & Control system. Building service-oriented and cloud-based architecture components, Overwatch can provide existing and next generation tactical intelligence solutions as a force multiplier for our nation’s warfighters.
The Overwatch Combat Systems team is currently adapting these skills and products to support Homeland Security and Law Enforcement operations as well. America’s First Responders can directly benefit from the Army’s investment in technology.
