First developed for the Navy Seals, ELT/1500 is ideal for tactical and field use and for commercial users who need a portable, cost-effective method of viewing and processing full-frame imagery.

ELT/1500 combines full-frame image viewing capabilities with essential tools for image processing in a single easy-to-learn package. Incorporating much of the proven image exploitation functionality offered in the more advanced ELT/Series software products, ELT/1500 is specifically designed for easy access and versatile field use.  ELT/1500 runs on Windows platforms and is NITF Certified up to C-LEVEL 07.

Key Functionality

Image Viewing and Annotation
ELT/1500 offers a familiar Windows-like graphical user interface that enables users to easily view, pan, zoom, annotate and enhance imagery files. Most image processing operations are performed with a simple point-and-click of the mouse. 

Display Level Image Processing with Enhanced DRA Adjustment
ELT/1500 offers Display Level Processing operations that enable users to adjust Brightness and Contrast, Haze and Dynamic Range Adjust (DRA) on-the-fly. 

Image Enhancement, Edge Detection, and Equalization Filters
Unlike Display Level Image Processing operations, ELT/1500's image enhancement algorithms, edge detection and equalization filters actually modify the image pixels to improve the appearance of a file. Users may preview the results of the enhancement algorithms and filters before applying them across the entire image to insure that they produce the desired results.

Region of Interest Creation
A Region of Interest or ROI is a user-defined area within an image to which image processing operations and other selected functions may be applied without affecting the remainder of the image file. With ELT/1500 users can create different types of ROIs such as rectangular, elliptical, or polygon and fixed size ROIs. Once an ROI is created users may then apply image processing operations and/or chip or core the ROI to a new document or file.

Mission File Dissemination
ELT/1500 software can be used as a complement to the more powerful ELT/Series software products. For example ELT/5500 can be used to access and exploit initial satellite imagery and to create a smaller more mission specific file that can be distributed to ELT/1500 users in the field.
