Smartphone Applications
InSite smartphone apps support any operation and team in need of real-time understanding of dynamically changing environments - such as disaster relief efforts, law enforcement operations, fire and rescue, military missions, as well as state and local emergencies.
Utilizing advanced mobile network technology and applications, the InSite system enables users to collect, receive and share information (including videos, photos, incident reports, and analysis) regarding events, emergencies, and operations as they occur and unfold.

Supporting every InSite smartphone app is the Overwatch Cloudwave™ framework which provides access to a secure personal data network, map servers, standard symbology databases, as well as the following services:

- Forward and reach-back analytical investigation capabilities

Open Architecture
The InSite system includes an open Application Programming Interface (API) which allows Overwatch customers, partners and 3rd party developers to create new InSite enabled applications which connect to and leverage the InSite systems' broad array of data management, processing and integration capabilities. Applications developed using the InSite API are able to easily transmit, visualize, analyze, and distribute the data displayed and managed by the InSite system.
Examples of recent 3rd party developed enhancements include:
- Advanced analytics services
- Visualization of data on multi-touch tables
- Visualization of data on mobile devices
- Integration of data from remote sensor systems
- Integration with 3rd party data sources
